Smart Solar Plant

4 / 11 / 2023

date: 18.10.2023\n\n# Abstract\n\nThe Smart Solar Plant is a system that optimizes solar energy generation and storage. It combines intelligent solar panels with a Li-ion battery pack for efficient energy utilization. Here are the key features:\n\n## 1. Dynamic Solar Panel Angle Adjustment:\n\nThe solar panels are equipped with smart actuators that adjust their tilt angle based on real-time sunlight conditions.\n \nBy tracking the sun’s position, the panels maximize energy capture throughout the day. \n\n## 2. Energy Storage and Management:\n\nThe Li-ion battery pack stores excess energy generated during peak sunlight hours.\nAn intelligent control system manages battery charging and discharging cycles.\n\nDuring low sunlight periods or at night, the stored energy powers connected devices.\n\n## 3. Remote Monitoring and Control:\n\nAn IoT-based solution enables remote monitoring of the solar plant.\nReal-time data on panel efficiency, battery status, and overall performance is accessible via a web interface or mobile app.\n\n# Literature Review\n\n1. Dynamic Solar Panel Angle Adjustment:\n\nHere it uses the arduino uno as the main brain of the project, the light dependent resistors are used to detect the direction of the sunlight, based on these values the arduino uno makes the solar panel to move in the direction of maximum light through servomotors.to hold the solar panel 3d printed frame is required. \n\n## 2. Energy Storage and Management:\n\nHere various different electronics components such as diode, transistors, resistors, TL431, etc in order to obtain the functionality of voltage and current regulation, battery overcharge protection and indication of full charge.\n\n## 3. Remote Monitoring and Control:\n\nAs of now monitoring is from excel sheet and needs to be upgraded.\n\n\nDate: 27.10.23\n\n# Project meet: \n\n## Important takeaways:\n\n1.Trying to implement focusing the light using reflectors.\n\n2.The maintenance of solar panel.\n\n3.More literature survey on implementation.\n\n4.Creation of project page.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n\n
