Colour Page:
The Color page in DaVinci Resolve is a professional workspace designed for color correction and color grading, allowing you to enhance the look and feel of your video projects. It’s widely used in filmmaking and video production for achieving the desired mood, tone, and visual aesthetics.
- Colour Wheels :
The Color Wheels in DaVinci Resolve are essential tools for color correction and grading. They allow you to adjust the brightness, contrast, and color balance of your footage, divided into shadows, midtones, and highlights.
Here's the image
Types Of ColourWheels :
Lift
- Adjusts the shadows (dark areas) of the image.
- Useful for making blacks darker or brighter without affecting the rest of the image much.
Gamma :
- Modifies the midtones (middle brightness levels).
- Ideal for enhancing the details in the middle range of brightness.
Gain :
Controls the highlights (bright areas). Perfect for making whites brighter or more subdued.
Offset :
Affects the entire image uniformly. Use it for global brightness or color shifts.
Curves :
The Curves tool in the Color page of DaVinci Resolve offers precise control over brightness, contrast, and color adjustments. It’s a graphical tool that lets you manipulate image properties by modifying curves plotted between input and output values.

Custom Curves :
- Adjust overall brightness and contrast.
- Works on a graph with input (horizontal axis) and output (vertical axis):
- Lower-left controls shadows.
- Middle adjusts midtones.
- Upper-right tweaks highlights.
My task :
I've Downloaded the non graded video from Youtube. And with the help of Colour page I colour graded it.

Fusion Page :
The Fusion page in DaVinci Resolve is a node-based workspace for creating visual effects (VFX), motion graphics, and compositing. It provides advanced tools for filmmakers and content creators to enhance videos creatively.
- Key Features of the Fusion Page:
Node-Based Workflow : Instead of layers, Fusion uses nodes to build effects. Each node represents a step (e.g., text, blur, or merge), offering flexibility and precision.
3D Compositing : Work with 3D elements, such as models, lighting, and cameras, directly within Fusion.
Motion Graphics : Create animated text, shapes, and other graphical elements.
Tracking and Keying : Add effects that follow motion in a scene or remove green/blue screen backgrounds.
Masking : Isolate parts of your image for targeted effects.
Here's how fusion page looks :
Nodes :
Nodes in the Fusion page are the building blocks of your visual effects and motion graphics. Each node performs a specific task, such as adding text, applying an effect, or combining elements. The node-based workflow makes Fusion flexible and precise, allowing you to create complex effects easily.
- Media Nodes:
- MedianIn : Represents your input footage or images.
- MediaOut : Represents the final output sent back to the timeline.
- Merge Nodes:
1.Combines two or more elements (foreground and background). 2.Essential for compositing layers, like placing text over a video.
My task :
I've shooted the video clips of Our College UVCE. And imported them to da vinci. I've used merge nodes and glow effect to form a glowy effect to give it kind of a sunrise effect.
