I opened my browser and searched davinci resolve. I went to the Blackmagic Design website and after scrolling down I found the free version of it. It redirected me to a page where I filled my details and was able to install it.
After the installation of the application, I opened the appliaction. A project manager interface showed up. After creating a new project and naming it, I went to the media page. The Media Page is where you import, organize, and manage your media files before starting the editing process.
Media Pool: This is where all the imported media video, audio, images are organized. I was able to drag and drop files into the media pool to use them in my project.
Media Storage : Allows you to navigate and locate media files directly from your system. I could preview clips from this section before importing them.
Audio/Video preview : The media page offers a viewer where you can scrub through your media to review footage. It was helpful for me to preview video and audio clips before importing them into the project timeline.
Organizing Media: I could create bins and subfolders to organize my media files, making it easier to manage larger projects.

In DaVinci Resolve, the Edit page is where most of the video editing work happens. It's designed to provide a streamlined and efficient interface for assembling and manipulating your video clips.
Timeline : The central part of the Edit page is occupied by the timeline. This is where you arrange and sequence your video clips, audio tracks, effects, and transitions. You can drag and drop clips onto the timeline, trim them, and adjust their positions easily.
Media pool : The Media Pool, located on the top left of the interface, contains all your imported media assets such as video clips, audio files, images, and graphics. From here, I could easily drag items directly onto the timeline for editing.
Inspector Panel: On the top right of the interface, the Inspector panel provided detailed controls and adjustments for selected clips or elements on the timeline. Here, I could adjust parameters like position, scale, rotation, opacity, and more.
Transitions and Effects: Adding transitions between clips (like cross dissolves or wipes) and applying effects is straightforward on the Edit page. From here, I dragged transitions from the Effects Library directly onto the timeline between clips.
Audio Editing: While the Fairlight page is dedicated to advanced audio editing, basic audio adjustments can also be made on the Edit page. I could adjust audio levels, apply basic effects, and manage audio tracks alongside my video editing tasks.
Keyboard Shortcuts: DaVinci Resolve provides numerous keyboard shortcuts to speed up your editing workflow on the Edit page. Learning and using these shortcuts can significantly enhance your efficiency and productivity. Ctrl (Cmd) + A : Select all clips in the Media Pool. Shift + Click: Select multiple clips. Ctrl (Cmd) + Click : Add or remove individual clips from the selection. Delete : Delete selected clips from the Media Pool (with confirmation). Space* : Play or pause selec ted clip in the source viewer. J : Play backward at increasing speeds (press multiple times for faster speeds). L : Play forward at increasing speeds (press multiple times for faster speeds).
In this task, I made a small edit on the Movie "Ae dil hai mushkil" by using edit page. I selected the most suitable song and the best shots from the movie. I used keyframes for the adjustment of the volume of the background music. And used titles. I used multiple audios.

I made an intro video for the Club 'G2C2'. They gave us an assignment to make a intro video for a event as a criteria for being selected as a video editior in the club. I downloaded the required video and audio clips from the internet. And made a video about the event name 'Junk 2 Gem'.

In this page I used a reverb effect on my audio. I made a edit on the movie '96'. I used multiple audios, and in the last 5-6 seconds of the video, I have used a reverb effect which gave it a perfect ending
The final product
After the completion of the video editing in the edit page, I moved to the deliver page to render the edited video. In the render page interface many resolutions options were available to render the video in a specific quality I wanted. And many previous settings were provided by the software.

Once the rendering is finished, I exported the video and uploaded it on my YouTube channel

This has been a very amusing voyage. I improved my video editing skills a lot from this VFX batch. Thankyou Marvel for selecting me for this course
