I visited the official Blackmagic Design website and navigated to the section offering the free version of DaVinci Resolve. To access the download, I completed a quick registration process by providing basic details. Once registered, the download link was made available, and the process was smooth and straightforward. After downloading the setup file, I proceeded with the installation, which followed a standard, step-by-step format familiar to most software installations. Within a few minutes, the program was successfully installed on my system. I then launched DaVinci Resolve 20 without any issues and was immediately able to begin exploring its features and working on my video editing projects.
When I explored the Media Page in DaVinci Resolve 20, I found that it is the section where all the files for a project are imported and managed. I was able to bring in different types of media, like video, audio, and images. The page also allowed me to preview clips, and make basic trims before moving them to the timeline. I noticed that bins and folders could be created to keep the files structured and easy to access. I used the ctrl+I shortcut key to import my videos and audio clips. view here
I used the imported media files which i had downloaded from stock footage websites regarding "Varanasi". I separated based on the order i wanted it to be previewed. I inserted a desirable title for the initial clip. Using the linked selection, and blade option I cut parts of the footage I didn't need precisely. I also used transitions available under the effects option to make it look crisp and engaging. I mainly used "dissolve" transition as it best suited. Also used filters feature to add a blur effect. view here
While completing this task, I used the split clip and dynamic trim mode for most of the editing. It was easy to cut out extra parts and insert new ones. My cut page looked like this view here It also helped me trim parts of the audio track I wanted to use. I noticed that it is designed for quick and efficient editing. I was able to trim clips, split them, and arrange them on the timeline with simple tools. The dual timeline feature helped me navigate my project easily, as I could see both an overall view and a detailed view at the same time. I also found options like transitions, titles, and basic effects that could be applied directly without much complexity. Overall, I felt that the Cut Page was very beginner-friendly and useful when I wanted to make fast edits without going into advanced details. It also had the speed editing option, giving my video the finishing touch. Later, I successfully exported the video. video
