Speed control of brushless DC motor:
We use Arduino, a potentiometer and An electronic speed controller (ESC) of 30A rating. It uses PWM and is connected to the brushless dc motor to control the 3 phases of the motor. ESC is used for
- Speed regulation ,control the current.
- Motor direction control
- Throttle control
- offers braking system
- provides protection to the motor from uber current, voltage fluctuations
- prevents over charging or over discharging of the battery
- converts PWM signals from a microcontroller to to motor control signals
- maintains synchronisation
