COMMON TASKS\n# TASK 1 : API\nIn this task, I learnt about API and how it can be easily implemented. I created an interactive web application using OpenWeather API. This website takes a city name as input and displays its realtime weather conditions. Link\n\nimage\n\n# TASK 2 : TINKERCAD\nIn this task, I learnt the principle of operation and the functionality of ultrasonic sensor. After understanding how this sensor actually works, I had to simulate its working using an Arduino board and a LCD screen in Tinkercad such that the LCD screen displays the distance of an object from the sensor. \nIn this task I got to familiarise with Tinkercad.\nimage\n\n# TASK 3 : Speed Control of DC Motor\nIn this task, I learn speed controlling of a DC motor using an Arduino UNO and a H-bridge and L298N motor driver. I first simulated this setup in tinkercad and then came up with the actual working model. I also tried changing the direction of rotation by varying the voltage in the potentiometer.\n\nimage\n\n# TASK 4 : LED Toggle Using ESP32\nIn this task, I learnt how to use an ESP32 microcontroller. I had to create a standalone web server with an ESP32 that controls the LED. In this setup, we could toggle two LEDs on and off from my own mobile phone by connecting the ESP32 to my personal hotspot. This was a really cool ask as it demonstrates the basis of all smart home technologies. \n\nimage\n\nimage\n\n# TASK 5 : Soldering Prerequisites\nIn this task, I learned how to use a soldering gun. The coordinators informed me about all the safety precautions needed to be taken while handling a soldering gun. I used soldering to create a simple electric circuiting consisting of a resistor and a LED connected in series.\n\nimage\n\n# TASK 6 : Create a Portfolio Webpage\nIn this task I created a simple portfolio webpage that gives a basic introduction about me. It also tells a little about my hobbies and some of the projects I've completed lately. I used HTML, CSS and a little bit of JavaScript to create this webpage. Link\n\nimage\n\n# TASK 7 : Writing Resource Article using Markdown\nIn this task, I had to write an article on any of my favourite topic. I chose to write about Solar Sail (a space-travel technology). Doing this task, I got familiarised with Markdown and I also learnt a lot about a new science topic. After writing the article, I posted it on the UVCE MARVEL website. Read my article here\n\n# TASK 8 : UBUNTU\nIn this task, I carried out some basic operations in Ubuntu(Linux OS). As I have previously worked on Ubuntu, this task was pretty simple. Doing this task, I learnt hoe to use the command line on Ubuntu and do some basic tasks such as create a new folder, file and concatenate two text files.\n\nimage\n\nimage\n\n# TASK 9 : Active Participation \nIn the past semester, I have participated in various technical events held in college as well as outside. I participated and also got the consolation prize in Codefury 2023. codefury was my first ever hackathon and it felt really good to end it on a good note. I also participated in Kagada 2023 (poster track). This was a fun experience and I also explored new concepts for the competition. I am also working on a thingqbator project along with my friends. And I also participated in E-Yantra(luminosity drone).\n\nimage\n\nimage\n\n\n\n
